7 years ago today, the Bears acquired Jay Cutler.

Through 3 head coaches and a Slew of offensive coordinators, one thing has remained consistent for the Chicago Bears. That thing? Jay Cutler. Today, April 2, 2016 marks 7 years since Smokin Jay became the face of the Bears. Through those years, fans can still not agree weather they love him or want him off the team. His gun slinging arm has cost him quite a few turn overs but at times has been the only thing to keep the Bears competitive. He has gone through many highs and lows with the team as recent as this season when the front office for the bears was reportedly trying to trade him in the 2015 draft so they could move up and get Marcus Mariota to then going on to have one of his best statistical seasons with the Bears and being considered by many to be "untradeable". Like him or not, his pure arm strength is undeniable and because so many people now see him as "untradeable" he will remain the face of the Chicago Bears for at least one more year.
